The TB test reads were done this afternoon and I'm happy to report that they're all clear.
I have re-opened the central gate so that the cattle have access to both compartments again and I also put a fresh lick out for them.
All four looking well today.

All well. I removed several putrid, slimy pumpkins complete with night lights from the enclosure. Maybe a notice about not feeding the cattle on the fence towards the canal towpath might help.

All well by the lick which is what I called the burn site...they were standing around and not so desperate for the lick. 170 still keeping back from the action.

Tuesday 12th November.
The cattle had made their way north from when Helen saw them earlier - I encountered them next to the gate that I sorted out last week in the corral section.
I put a fresh lick out for them, just a bit further into the site from where I put one last week as this'll help break up the bracken in that area.
All looking well.

Was someone out very early this morning or did I miss the new notice on my way out? I don’t know how big the lick was or when it went in but it’s now down to a sliver! 170 was watching the others...not sure there will be any left for her...they were going at it like lions on a wildebeest!

Tuesday 5th November.
Found the cattle in the canal section this morning, all in E7 grazing and looking well.
I have put a lick out for them in C3 about 10 metres in from the gate amongst some dead bracken. They've been quite active through that section as there are quite a few of their tracks there so they'll find the lick soon.
I also made a few adjustments to the gate and it now latches ok. If it is left to slam shut it does bounce out of the latch initially but that is just down to the tension from the inner tube that Guy fitted the other day. The gate will latch ok after its initial bounce. I have also put a grazing sign on the gate.
I will be checking the site and cattle again next week so will check on the gate again to make sure it's still working ok.

All well. The gate is closing well, but a notice would let people know they nd to close it properly as well.

All in the heath corral section nearest Pondtail rd and wall.
Spoke to several dog walkers and families, all good feedback on the last herd and this one bless'em.
Will need a drill to lower gate furniture to ensure it closes correctly so have wacked on some inner tube in ther interim.
Herd doing well, one of the BW's seems a lil thinner than the other but all fine at the moment. Will ask about getting a lick sent out to them.
