All seen happily munching in the field between the Pondtail and ford gates.

Thurs 29th Sept 1pm

Couldn’t see or hear the cows today.  Lots of fresh 💩 by the very top gate near the boardwalk  so they can’t be far away. 

 Tues 27 Sept

All seen grazing at the Pondtail Road end of the field.

 Mon 26 Sept

All seen lying down in the clearing.

Sat 24th sept

All 4 seen by the trough. Looked good.

Friday 23rd sept

All 4 seen by the big gate that connects to the canal section. Happily moooooed at me.

Thurs 22nd

All look good and grazing happily. Three in middle of first field not far from the gate one 231 over by the fence on the left hand side of the gate. Couldn’t see any cuts and eyes nice and clear. 

The main gate into the field feels a little less secure, maybe the rope is just getting looser?

wed 21st sept

Onky 3 found on the main path near to the pondtail end. Happy and munching grass.

Mon 19th The four were seen and the wound inspected, all were OK and cows not worried by them, put blue spray on one that had been licking the wound.

Monday 19 September

All well, the small wounds on the heifers are fine.

Two seen in the distance bellowing madly.

Friday 16 September

All well, seen in open heathery area. Both girls have a small bloody scratch behind their left elbows...some springs sticking out of their bed perhaps..

Thurs 15th Sept

Had to go a little further into the field today, saw two of them close up and both looked fine, grazing happily. The other two were a little deeper into the bushes but looked ok from what I could see, also grazing happily.

All seen grazing in the clearing.

Monday 12 September ..and Saturday and Sunday

All seen in passing over the weekend, looking good. All fine this morning, clean at both ends but some flies on their eyes. They also seem to have started to grow their winter coats.

September 9 Friday

All well. They were in deep gorse along the stream fence. Are there any spare notices for the gates?

Went looking for them but none spotted.

All 4 found waiting for me by the gate when I arrived! All checked and no issues observed as part of weekly site checks by staff. 

Tuesday 6th September

 All 4 seen and ‘herd’ - all looking content down by the trough 

Mon 5th Sept

All 4 seen grazing by the fence and gate at the canal separation. All inquisitive and loked happy.

 Fri 2 Sept

All seen grazing near the gate leading to the ford.

Cattle moved to corral section of the site

Hi all, I’ve moved the cows across to the corral section of the site. They were very excited for the move to new green(ish) pastures. 

I’ve also fixed both gates either end of the ride between the path near the estate and the ford so they shut and latch properly now. I did a full fence check but if you could have a glance at the fencing you wonder by when out lookering to make sure they aren’t trying their luck anywhere that would be great.

All look fine, having a little lie down in the top field. I’m not around next week so won’t be also to do Thurs check until 15th Sept.
