12th November COWS OFFSITE (Grazing team)

Hi all, many apologies, we forgot to blog to update you all yesterday! We have taken the 3 cows off pondtail for a routine tb test. They will not be returning to site in the near future so thankyou very much for your help and dedication checking them for us! It is always muchly appreciated and we would not be able to have a herd so large that has so much impact without you guys!

Mon 11th November - none seen

Friday 8th November

All 3 looking good and quite vocal! All eating, and Teasle scratching against a tree.

Thank you for making the gate accessible again - retied rope on my exit.

Cattle Update - Thurs 7th Nov - & New looker

Cattle currently shut into corral side.

Welcome to Margaret, our new Thursday looker, who will be starting next week. 

All 3 seen well near the Central gate.

Friday 1st November

Unable to visit today so glad to see Sean's already been this morning. See you next week ladies.

Friday 1st - STAFF VISIT

Found the cows lay calmly just off the track not too far from the track. ///brittle.blocking.anguished.

All looked fine

Friday 25th October

All lying down together in amongst the trees and bracken. All looked well.

W3W: feuds.tedious.flagging (about 100m away from  where they were last week!😆). Overlooking the canal.

All 3 seen eating by the houses fence line. Looking good. 

Wed 23rd Oct - none found

Friday 18th October

All 3 eating in the sunshine right up against the fence line near the canal. All looked good.

Thursday 17th - staff check, all seen

 All seen on Canal side, conveniently by main vehicle gate! Looking good

 They are looking good having returned to the dry side back the gate to the stream ford

Not seen

 Had a good go at finding them, top field very boggy after rain nearly no dry ground anywhere and very cut up lots of standing water 

Friday 11th October

Spotted 2 of 3 eating gorse in the sunshine. 3rd may have been there too but I couldn't see her. Only viewed from the path at W3W: bath.calculating.polar as field a complete bog.

GRAZING UPDATE - Fri 4th Oct

Central field gate opened to allow access to both compartments. Please leave open. Cattle straight across to explore canal side. All well.

Friday 4th October

Found all 3 grazing in the sun by the gate. All looking very clean and healthy.

Bumped into another "looker" for the first time! Nice to meet you Michael.

Friday 27th September

All 3 spotted eating gorse towards the stream side. Couldn't get to them to look any closer. Is it possible to have access through the far gate reinstated? (currently lots of tape keeping it closed).

Friday 27th - STAFF CHECK

All 3 found hiding under the trees near the gate into the southern half of the site. All looked a tad damp, but fine otherwise.

Sun 22nd September - not seen

Friday 20th September

3 soggy ladies lying down near the gate by the stream. All looked fine but lots of flies around their faces.

Tuesday 17th - staff check

All 3 found chewing the cud by the gate separating the canal and the corral sides. All looked fine.

All three by gate - all good

Mon 16th Sept

One by the fenceline by the stream, one in the gorse but assume the 3rd was hidden in the gorse.

All good

 Staff check, all found in north-east corner by tbe corral, looking well

Tues 10th September

All 3 seen by the stream but only at a distance due to the gorse.

Friday 6th September

Spotted from the track at W3W: unable. kinds.organisms. Couldn't get any closer today as very wet, boggy and rainy.

All 3 seen well near the corral.

Rubber inner tube springs added to pedestrian gates to assist in self closing.

All 3 looking good eating by the gate by the houses.
