Thurs 28th aug

Despite the trackers, none found so guessing they were deep in the gorse

Monday 26th - Staff Check + New Looker Induction

Was up this afternoon inducting new looker Judith. Welcome Judith! Judith will be doing Tuesdays. 

All cows looking happy and healthy, keen to know what we were up to! 

Initially split across canal side all doing their own thing but assembled to make their way through to corral side. 

Weds 27th - only two seen

114 and the collar-less one having a good munch near to the footpath at the end of Pondtail Road. 114 came up to the fence to say hello before her collar started beeping and she wandered off. Both looked in good condition. 

Couldn't find the other two - map looked like they we're just behind these in all the greenery, but I couldn't see them from the footpath side or get close enough from the other way. 

Hopefully Michael has more luck tomorrow!  

Mon 25th Aug all 4 seen

All four seen at the far corner of the southwestern end of the canal. 1 with no collar as previously stated.

Weds 20th - all good

All 4 grazing around the middle gate. Initially only 2 showing up on No Fence before I left the house, but 3 appeared on the map by the time I got there so I presume it was just loading? 

225 was giving 216's ears a lot of licking - not sure what that means! Looked quite affectionate but then 225 chased 216 away, so maybe not. I left after that! Otherwise all seem happy and barely any flies compared to last week. 

Tuesday 19th August - Staff Check

Sean and I came down this morning to try and reinstate Gingsengs colllar. Unfortunately she was having none of it even with copious nuts. Neither of us could get near her with the collar or even without it. 

The group were a bit wound up and rowdy so we decided to call it. 

Will probably have to wait until the batteries need replacing on all before we get the collar back on her.

 All good except that 216 (the white one with black ears) has dropped her collar 

Saturday 16th - Staff Call Out

Attended the site on Saturday morning after Dalia's collar was stating she wasn't moving. Turns out she had slipped her collar. Me and Micheal then found her and brought her back to the group. 

With some gentle persuasion I was able to put the collar back on her. All four cows were good, no issues to report. 

Weds 13th - all good

All eating down the canal end. One playing a very impressive game of hide and seek in the trees!

 I haven’t seen these guys stood up for ages, think that says more about me, and when I visit then them 

Thursday 7th - Staff Check + new looker

All four girls lying down resting today in Canal side. All well despite a renewal of biblical numbers of flies.

Just to note that I am inducting a new prospective looker on Monday afternoon so will be up then. Hopefully they will be covering Tuesdays 🙂

All four grazing together at the south end - around the trees by the canal. All look healthy and happy.

 Must be timing my walk with the mid morning sit down. All four relaxing by the gate to the ford

 All four laying down close together, me thinks I’m going to get wet!
