Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Weds 3rd - soggy but good

All four by the gate looking a bit soggy but fine.

114 had what looked to be a spot of blood on her left shoulder but no visible cut or wound. Tried to get a picture but the black and white one kept trying to mount her so couldn't get close - zoomed in pic below.

Otherwise all good! Black and white looked to be missing her left ear tag.

     Hello All

First day as cow looker today and I am glad to say I found them quite quickly. All were looking fine, no scratches, nice and clean. Content. 108 was on her own and had wandered into the gorse. The rest were together in the heather, happily munching.

Monday 1st September - COW UPDATE

    Hi all

One of the pedestrian gates near the stream has been vandalised (either by human or cow!) And is on the floor.

For the time being I have locked the cows in corral side (northern end of site) and padlocked the gate separating the two halves of the site whilst I arrange repairs.

    I'll keep you updated

But the girls were all looking healthy and well today!

    Kind Regards

    Zoe

    All good

Under the trees looking very content.
